The DeLTA Center and the Advanced Learning Traces (ALT) Lab are launching a special Multimodal Learning & Development (ML&D) track as part of this year’s DeLTA Interdisciplinary Research Grants. It funds trainee-led projects in the 2027 calendar year.

Undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers can receive up to $1,000 for projects that use one or more pieces of ALT Lab equipment, including our eye trackers, wearable EDA sensors, wireless microphones, and a whole-room computer vision system. Funded projects also get access to lab time and methodological support from Lab PI Dr. Callie Sung. Applicants may apply to the standard DeLTA track as well, for a combined award of up to $1,500.

A short proposal is due November 26th, 2026. Funding decisions will be announced before the spring semester. Work planned must be carried out during the 2027 calendar year.

Applicants must submit the proposal and a cover page together. For more information, please read the Request for Proposals, or visit the information page on the DeLTA website.

Prospective applicants are also strongly encouraged to RSVP for the lab's open event, on November 12th, 2pm:
