Gahyun Callie Sung is an assistant professor in Learning Sciences and Educational Psychology at the College of Education, University of Iowa, with an affiliate position in Informatics. Her research focuses on building, testing, and disseminating emerging technologies for learning, and observing usage and impact with dynamic, multimodal data sources such as eye-trackers, wearables, videos, or log. Her contexts of interest are those with emotional and motivational challenges to engagement, or "pain points" of learning, such as AI offloading, learners with ADHD, or difficult discussions about complex issues.
